Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing, leading, and maintaining system requirements and architecture. You will work closely with engineering leads and collaborate across functions to execute complex system development efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead system requirements and architecture
  • Manage requirements traceability and evolution through the system development cycle
  • Provide weekly status of system development progress with requirements burn down
  • Allocate requirements to subsystems and engineering coordination
  • Evaluate system performance thresholds and provide direction
  • Contribute to model development and simulation analysis
  • Review and interpret customer specifications effectively
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses
  • Influence the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework used across multiple products or systems
  • Collaborate with engineers in compliance analysis, system interface definitions, and associated requirements definition
  • Ensure comprehensive coverage of requirements in verification and validation plans
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace engineering, with a focus on systems-type product development
  • Experience in requirements development, FMEA, compliance standards, and V&V test planning
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Knowledge of electronics and systems related to image collection and analysis
  • Familiarity with FAA PT103, PT23, and MIL STD 810
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with contract manufacturers and product development from concept to production
  • Knowledge of Guidance Navigation and Control Systems, Modeling Simulation & Control, and Model-Based Systems Engineering
  • Proficiency in Simulink, Ansys, and SolidWorks
  • Interest in creating architectures using Model-Based Engineering tools
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Matlab, as well as other programming languages
