About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Loan Officer to join our team at Williams Homes. As a Mortgage Loan Officer, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients achieve their dream of homeownership by providing exceptional mortgage loan services.

Job Responsibilities
  • Meet with and interview potential and current clients to understand their lending needs, including first-time mortgages, new mortgages, and refinance of existing loans.
  • Explain the differences between various types of mortgages and prepare a lending package based on client specifications.
  • Assist clients with completion of mortgage applications, obtain and inspect completed documents for accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Review loan applications, gather credit histories and reports, and determine applicants' capacity to repay and default risk.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in the local real estate market, current and predicted lending rates, and changes in rules, regulations, and best practices of various mortgages.
  • Develop and maintain contacts with local realtors, developers, and builders to promote and encourage the use of GWHL.
  • Maintain relationship with builder referral partner, including working onsite as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma Required. AA/BS degree in Finance or Business, a plus.
  • 3+ years' experience as a mortgage loan officer or in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in sales and customer support.
  • Working knowledge of mortgage loan software (e.g. Calyx Point, Empower, Arive, or similar).
  • Attention to detail, great mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Must have a valid mortgage loan officer license in state working in.
