Hospitalist Physician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hospitalist to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a Hospitalist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Manage comprehensive and individualized care for hospitalist patients and their families in the inpatient phase of hospitalization and for immediate post-discharge in the ambulatory setting.
- Complete daily rounds, consults, and pre-procedure/evaluations.
- Perform and communicate results of diagnostic tests following established clinical guidelines and scope of practice.
- Develop a comprehensive individualized plan of care for hospitalist patients, which includes teaching, discharge planning, and necessary referral to other members of the healthcare team as necessary.
- Collaborate with other leaders and staff to effectively achieve patient outcome-based improvements in care.
- Graduate of a CCNE-accredited nursing program with a Master's Degree in Nursing.
- National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
- Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia.
- BLS Certification; NRP Certification; ACLS Certification.
- ACNPs preferred, but will consider FNPs.
