Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hospitalist APP to join our team at STJ St. Joseph's Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive and individualized care to hospitalist patients and their families in the inpatient phase of hospitalization and for immediate post-discharge in the ambulatory setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage comprehensive and individualized care for hospitalist patients and their families.
  • Complete daily rounds, consults, and pre-procedure/evaluations.
  • Perform and communicate results of diagnostic tests following established clinical guidelines and scope of practice.
  • Develop a comprehensive individualized plan of care for hospitalist patients, which includes teaching, discharge planning, and necessary referral to other members of the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with other leaders and staff to effectively achieve patient outcome-based improvements in care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a CCNE-accredited nursing program with a Master's Degree in Nursing.
  • National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
  • Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as a professional Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in West Virginia.
  • BLS Certification; NRP Certification; ACLS Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ACNPs preferred, but will consider FNPs.
  • Masters-level education as a Medical/Surgical (as applicable) Physician Assistant preferred.
