Job Summary

As a Paraeducator - Independence Facilitator, you will provide individualized support to students in a classroom setting, assisting with behavior intervention and medical needs. You will also assist teachers with instruction and classroom management, enhancing the learning experience for students with special needs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs, including behavior intervention and medical assistance
  • Assist teachers with instruction and classroom management, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure seamless support and services
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 48 college credit units may substitute for the competency assessment
  • Valid driver's license and First Aid/CPR certification may be required
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
