We are seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to join our team at Hyundai Mobis Alabama. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate EHS programs, procedures, and operations for compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Promote implementation of health and wellness programs for all Mobis Alabama Team Members
- Assess workplace environments, equipment, and practices to identify hazards and complete new equipment checklists
- Ensure full compliance with EHS standards and government regulations
- Conduct hazard and operational control process assessments
- Recommend measures to help protect Team Members from potentially hazardous working conditions, methods, processes, or materials
- Participate in incident investigations to identify root causes of accidents
- Determine corrective actions to reduce the likelihood of accidents in the future
- Complete reports and analyze incidents to identify trends
- Conduct Safety Management Systems (SMS) audits, Environmental Management Systems (EMS) audits, and/or monthly EHS inspections and assist in corrective actions
- Train Team Members on proper use of powered industrial trucks, aerial lifts, tuggers, overhead cranes, and related industrial equipment
- Conduct EHS orientation for new Team Members
- Administer, coordinate, and comply with all EHS guidelines
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus 3 or more years of experience in an EHS-related position in a manufacturing environment OR
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field plus 1 or more years of experience in an EHS-related position in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
- Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems
- Knowledge of heavy industrial equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Good written and verbal communication skills
This position works 2nd Shift (approx. 2:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M.)
