EHS Specialist

Responsibilities to include:
- Performing daily detailed safety inspections.
- Demonstrate professional and a high-degree of technical competency in the field of occupational safety and environmental health, mishap prevention, and accident investigation.
- Assist with Root Cause Analysis and other on-site investigations of all injuries / incidents.
- Enforce and promote safety regulations, policies and procedures, scheduling mandatory safety training for all team members.
- Create and share audit findings and work with production to complete corrective actions.
- Perform monthly safety meetings with the plant safety committee and team members.
- Develop Monthly safety topics for managers to share with employees.
- Perform and document regulatory facility audits.
- Perform annual EHS audit of plant.
Qualified candidates will:
- Possess some safety knowledge; OSHA 10 or more.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Be able to lift 50 pounds frequently.
- Pass a physical and drug test prior to employment.
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree.
- Have CPR/First Aid/AED training or a willingness to become certified.
- Have the ability to work a rotating shift.
Working Conditions:Manufacturing Environment. Extended periods of standing, walking, crouching, working at heights, bending and lifting on a daily basis. Exposure to various safety hazards including electricity, heavy machinery and hazardous chemicals.
Reports to: Safety Manager
Compensation: Negotiable Based on Experience.
