Position Summary
  • Assist in managing departmental functions, guiding team members, ensuring precise patient registration, monitoring reports for accuracy, maintaining data quality, addressing escalated concerns, coordinating staff schedules, and delivering training.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
Essential Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Licenses/Certifications: None required
Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
  • Preferred three (3) years of experience in a hospital or medical office environment
  • Exceptional multitasking capabilities
  • Proficient typing and keyboarding skills
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience is preferred
Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate quality and identify opportunities for process enhancements
  • Monitor error rates, track metrics, and report findings to management
  • Engage in departmental training initiatives
  • Participate in update meetings, review training materials, and maintain knowledge of processes and systems
  • Prepare and analyze operational reports, rectify discrepancies, develop staff schedules, and ensure billing accuracy
  • Collaborate with all levels of staff to resolve issues
  • Ensure data accuracy in assigned reports
  • Safeguard the financial integrity of the facility by overseeing staff functions across various departmental areas
  • Support HR processes including coaching, mentoring, performance evaluation, and recruitment
  • Deliver safe and efficient care in accordance with Memorial Hermann's policies and standards
  • Encourage professional development through education, skills competency, and mentoring of less experienced staff
  • Exhibit a commitment to compassionate and personalized patient care
  • Perform other duties as assigned
