Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Management Officer to join our Corporate Banking team at Bank of Hawaii. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and credit relationships, ensuring timely and accurate completion of administrative functions, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of clients and credit relationships, including reviewing financial statements, covenant compliance, and current industry conditions.
  • Assist in the validation of risk rating and analyze cash flow projections to formulate alternative risk scenarios.
  • Communicate directly with clients, agent banks, and other participating banks to obtain information and ensure timely completion of credit transactions.
  • Prepare complex Credit Approval Memoranda (CAM) packages and written summaries, including forward-looking acceptability for Credit Write-up.
  • Ensure that structures, credit covenants, and/or credit facilities proposed by the Relationship Manager conform to Bank policies and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Facilitate documentation process with external attorneys and/or Bankoh Loan Center, including preparing advisement letters and ordering documents for timely delivery to clients.
  • Track, monitor, and ensure that updated financial information and compliance certificates are received and reviewed based on established terms and conditions of each assigned credit transaction.
  • Perform deal screens with Wholesale Credit and Relationship Managers, review daily overdraft reports, and recommend appropriate disposition for overdrafts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably with a major in business or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of business experience, with 2-3 years of commercial credit or commercial lending experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and expertise with personal computers in a networked environment and Microsoft applications.
  • Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software and systems, including conventional and/or government guidelines and automated underwriting systems.
