Position Overview:
In the role of Sous Chef, you will serve as the essential support to our Chef/Owner, taking charge of kitchen operations, guiding our culinary staff, and ensuring the delivery of outstanding dishes for our clientele. Your duties will encompass, but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Effectively lead and motivate a team of cooks during preparation and event days. Act as a role model, fostering teamwork, discipline, and a dedication to excellence.
- Training & Development: Mentor and develop kitchen personnel, ensuring they are equipped and continuously enhancing their skills. Provide daily constructive feedback and support.
- Operational Management: Develop and adhere to detailed task lists, oversee station checkouts, and adeptly manage operational challenges. Ensure consistency in recipe execution and maintain high culinary standards.
- Collaboration & Communication: Partner closely with the Chef/Owner to pinpoint areas for enhancement, articulate needs, and resolve any issues. Actively participate in the creation and implementation of new dishes.
- Quality Assurance: Supervise all facets of food preparation, guaranteeing that each dish is crafted to perfection, reflecting our commitment to quality ingredients and scratch cooking.
