Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team at Luke & Associates. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing various medical procedures.
Responsibilities:- Manage patient anesthesia experience, perform preoperative evaluations and preparations, administer monitored anesthesia care, regional and general anesthesia, monitor and manage patient reactions to anesthesia and surgery, manage fluid therapy, perform and manage invasive monitoring, and perform post-operative evaluations as privileged.
- Perform a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient, including obtaining informed consent, requesting consultations and/or diagnostic studies, and ordering pre-anesthetic medications.
- Develop and implement an anesthetic plan of care, including assessing the patient's medical history, current medications, and any allergies or sensitivities.
- Perform an assessment immediately prior to induction of anesthesia, reviewing the medical record, laboratory data, and any previous anesthetic experiences or complications.
- Master's degree in nursing.
- Graduate of a National League of Nursing accredited school of nursing and a graduate of an approved anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nursing Anesthetists (COA).
- Certification by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetist, Certified as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA), or The National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- DEA registration number.
- Current experience (3 months or more in the past 12 months) providing epidural anesthesia (labor epidurals) and experience in the delivery of and monitoring of all types of anesthesia utilized in the delivery of obstetrical and surgical anesthesia.
- Unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse anesthetist in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
- Physical capability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time and perform all services required under the contract.
Shifts may include 8, 10, or 12 hours, Sunday through Saturday, and may include weekends and holidays. During a planned closure of the facility due to training, closures before or after holidays, or family down days, employees will only be compensated for the actual hours worked.
