About the Role

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our team as a Plant Controller at our Seward production facility. As a key member of the plant management team, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and leadership to drive strong financial performance and measurement. Your expertise in cost accounting and manufacturing operations will be essential in ensuring the financial accounting and reporting needs of the plant are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a subject matter expert on cost and manufacturing operations
  • Partner with plant and business leadership to enable optimal decision making
  • Manage and execute the monthly close process
  • Develop and maintain standard costing and departmental spend forecasting
  • Identify and quantify cost savings opportunities
  • Measure and report operational metrics, including yield, scrap, throughput, labor efficiency, and more
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance discipline
  • Strong business partnering skills with an ability to constructively challenge
  • Data-driven mindset with high level of professional curiosity
  • Exhibits high level of accuracy and consistent attention to detail
  • Strong follow-through and commitment to excellence
  • Experience in cost accounting and manufacturing environment (5+ years)
  • Experience in working with complex ERP systems and identification/implementation of improvements
