Role Summary

As a Fleet Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks on company vehicles and equipment in a fast-paced workshop environment. A strong understanding of preventative maintenance practices and compliance with industry regulations is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct repairs, inspections, and testing on all company-owned vehicles and equipment.
  • Follow the company's preventative maintenance schedule and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Assist fellow technicians with maintenance and repair tasks as needed.
  • Document work orders and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance records.
  • Perform routine servicing of vehicles, including oil changes and inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems.
  • Assist with inventory management and parts procurement.
  • Utilize the company's maintenance software for work order management.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Proven experience as a tank testing inspector (HM) for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Certification in air brake systems in accordance with FMCSR.
  • DOT commercial motor vehicle inspector certification.
  • Willingness to obtain AWS certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with maintenance software.
  • Possession of a basic set of technician tools as per company standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with maintenance and testing of tank trailers (306/406/307/407).
  • Knowledge of overfill systems for bottom loading.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently; assistance required for heavier items.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and climbing.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Frequent use of hands for handling and gripping.
  • Constant vision and communication abilities.
