Job Summary:

The Central Supply Clerk will be responsible for ensuring the efficient provision of supplies and equipment to our facility, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips in a timely manner.
  • Track inventory levels and maintain accurate records.
  • Organize and manage the storage and delivery of supplies.
  • Prepare correspondence and claims for damaged equipment or errors in shipment.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of supplies.
  • Notify departments of special orders and deliveries.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
  • Deliver emergency supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Report incidents and accidents to supervisors immediately.
  • Maintain a safe and organized supply and storage room.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 6 months experience in maintaining and ordering medical supplies preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to follow detailed directions and work independently.

Working Conditions:

  • May encounter frequent interruptions and need to reschedule maintenance activities.
  • May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, and conditions.
  • May be required to work in cramped spaces.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move intermittently throughout the day.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and reach throughout the day.
  • Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift up to 50 lbs.

Per California state mandate, the COVID-19 vaccine is required for this position.
