What is the Opportunity?

As a Private Banker, you will cultivate and oversee relationships with affluent individuals and families in a designated market. Your role involves delivering comprehensive financial services, including banking, credit solutions, asset management, trust and estate planning, and brokerage services. You will be accountable for the profitability of client relationships and the management of portfolio risks, ensuring sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish new connections through referrals, community engagement, and collaboration with internal partners.
  • Assess the diverse needs of high-net-worth clients and provide customized advice in partnership with the client team.
  • Lead the CNB team in developing new business opportunities, including organizing pre-brief and de-brief meetings.
  • Identify further opportunities within existing client relationships and leverage resources to become the primary service provider.
  • Oversee client relationships by guiding the client team in planning, service delivery, and regular client reviews, ensuring exceptional client experiences.
  • Continuously analyze clients' financial situations and adjust strategies as necessary.
  • Ensure the implementation of relationship plans tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with the Client Manager and the client team to prepare all necessary presentation and review materials.
  • Regularly review clients' investment strategies and ensure alignment with their goals and risk tolerance.
  • For colleagues with FINRA Licenses, review asset management and brokerage statements with clients, collaborating with the CNS Investment Officer to discuss market conditions and investment strategies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clients' financial information and ensure clarity regarding the solutions provided.
  • Communicate proactively with clients and relevant risk areas, particularly the Credit Team for borrowing relationships.
  • Stay current with training and continuing education requirements.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years in asset management, banking/credit, personal trust, or brokerage services.
  • At least 10 years of sales and relationship management experience in financial services, ideally with high-net-worth clients.
  • Possession of FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 or 66 licenses.
  • California Insurance License.

Skills and Expertise:

  • In-depth knowledge of products and services for high-net-worth clients.
  • Strong understanding of credit policies and banking operations.
  • Proven sales and marketing capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with clients requiring comprehensive financial solutions.
  • Collaborative mindset, contributing positively to team growth and development.
  • May manage a risk-adjusted revenue portfolio of up to $2 million.
  • Typically holds a BA or MBA with at least 8 years of financial services experience.
  • Possession of CFP, JD/LLM, CIMA, or Cannon Certified Wealth Strategist designations is a plus.
  • Preferred possession of FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 or 66 securities licenses and state insurance license.

Compensation: Starting base salary ranges from $127,626 to $237,014 annually, with variations based on skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for bonuses and/or commissions.
