Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician II to join our team at DISH, an EchoStar Company. As a key member of our Manufacturing team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues to ensure test and manufacturing equipment operates according to requirements and specifications.
  • Perform test station assembly and deployment, and troubleshoot equipment after assembly to ensure proper operation.
  • Interact with a proactive attitude and customer mindset when working with production associates, supervisors, engineers, and coworkers from other areas or departments.
  • Perform daily duties following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Sequence of Events (SOE), and other related documentation.
  • Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine materials requirements or troubleshooting instructions.
  • Familiarity with 5S, TPM, and other Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Assist other groups (IT, Maintenance, Facilities, Production) as required or instructed by supervisor.
  • Collect data to prepare time studies, reports, work instructions, visual aids, flowcharts, and submit recommendations for change.
  • Assist with special engineering projects such as new product introduction, layout, and/or process changes.
  • Physical ability to lift and move production equipment such as benches, racks, carts, cabling, and computers.
  • Working knowledge and experience with the use of power tools, installing warehouse racking, drill press, pedestal grinder, and table saw.
Requirements
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks preferable.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, and instructional emails.
  • Must know how to use a computer (Windows environment). Knowledge of Microsoft Suite/Google Suite.
  • Good communication skills, detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work on specific items with little to no supervision as well as being part of a crew or team.
  • Experience working with a Maintenance management system such as SAP-Maintenance or Mpulse.
  • Ability to prioritize between multiple tasks and/or projects.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and activity reports.
  • Need to be able to work alone and in groups.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite/Google Suite and maintenance management software is a plus.

Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
