Job Title: Industrial Sewing Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Sewing Machine Operator to join our team at Openwork in Suwanee, GA.

Job Summary:

The Industrial Sewing Machine Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality web products. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment and be able to follow established best practices and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines to produce web products
  • Set up and adjust machines and equipment as needed
  • Understand and follow established best practices, department priorities, and customer requirements
  • Read, interpret, and understand production sheets, manufacturing manuals, and corresponding reports and documents
  • Select appropriate raw materials, hardware, tools, tags, and equipment necessary to produce and sew various web products
  • Identify and report any equipment, operational, or safety problems or material deficiencies
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines and equipment
  • Pack product as required and perform minor repairs to machines and equipment
  • Provide training and instruction to other personnel as requested by the Group Leader or Manager
  • Assist in other areas of the plant as required
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to follow established best practices and safety protocols
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand production sheets, manufacturing manuals, and corresponding reports and documents
  • Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations
