Job Overview:
- Establish and nurture strong, positive relationships with customers and Pro Desk Associates.
- Collaborate with Home Depot Associates to build long-term partnerships and expand business with Pro Contractors.
- Enhance brand visibility and market penetration through training, selling, and advisory services.
- Coordinate with Home Depot for the timely and accurate delivery of products to Contractors.
- Prioritize safety as an integral part of our culture and a condition of employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new Pro business opportunities within the store, maintaining continuous follow-up to drive additional sales.
- Manage ongoing relationships with Contractors and Home Depot, providing product training and advice on proper usage, features, and benefits.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by upholding service standards and swiftly resolving customer issues.
- Oversee the delivery of products to customer locations, maintaining awareness of local market operations to boost sales.
- Verify that customer orders meet specifications, conduct color matching, and provide product recommendations.
- Stay informed about inventory levels and make necessary adjustments to support ongoing projects.
- Facilitate the resolution of customer complaints in coordination with the Technical Services Team.
- Promote complementary sundry items alongside paint products.
- Collaborate with various departments (Sales, Marketing, Distribution, Customer Service, etc.) to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Ensure all paperwork and delivery documents are accurately completed, managing Contractor files and project details.
- Achieve sales objectives through regular budget reviews.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and ethical work environment.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in sales and/or customer service, preferably in a commercial coatings environment.
- Prior experience in retail or customer service, ideally within a paint store or large retail setting.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to follow instructions and read work orders.
- Competence in interpreting safety rules and operational manuals.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software applications.
- Strong communication skills with vendors regarding company products.
- Knowledge of architectural coatings.
- Exceptional selling, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions to meet customer satisfaction goals.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Experience in the construction trade is a plus.
- Familiarity with Salesforce CRM or similar systems.
- Flexibility in adapting approaches to achieve account objectives.
Special Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. regularly.
- Work schedule typically includes Monday to Friday with occasional weekends.
