About the Role

The Security Specialist will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members. This includes:

  • Supporting sales by welcoming and engaging guests and team members
  • Leading a physical security culture by assessing and maintaining safe and secure standards throughout the store
  • Responding to and accurately documenting security incidents
  • Understanding and leveraging escalation tools for guest issues
  • Conducting productive merchandise recoveries and providing apprehension support as needed
  • Preventing theft and shortage at the front of store by performing receipt checks
  • Submitting appropriate documentation in the system for all incidents
  • Understanding and appropriately using the video system
  • Training team members to apply merchandise protection and audit execution
  • Teaching and training team members on operational shortage focus area opportunities
  • Executing shortage action plans to minimize shortage in focus areas
  • Modeling working safely while maintaining a clean store
  • Providing service and a shopping experience that meets the needs of the guest
  • Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements related to the position
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
  • Learn and adapt to current technology needs
  • Effective communication skills
  • Work both independently and with a team
  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
