Project Engineer, Materials Work Mode:

As a key member of our engineering team in the Huntsville facility, this position is responsible for improving plant materials and material processes and equipment to maintain our competitive position in the market.

This role involves developing and applying advanced theories, methods, and research techniques to investigate and solve complex technical problems with new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Optimize material formulations and components for safety, quality, cost, and delivery improvements.
  • Manage the formulation and raw material change process, including evaluation, approval, and implementation.
  • Maintain and improve material formulations, operating procedures, and other processes to meet and exceed safety, quality, cost, production, and department objectives.
  • Provide technical support to production teams related to troubleshooting process or product issues, especially as it pertains to materials and formulation.
  • Initiate, develop, and implement continuous improvement projects in support of plant manufacturing initiatives, objectives, and improvements needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET accredited engineering program.
  • Four or more years of relative work experience.
  • Past results include successful technical leadership on a major project.
