Lead Material Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Material Project Manager to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Global Supply Chain team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing material strategies, identifying and mitigating program risks and opportunities, and managing program material budget objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, with experience in planning, procurement, and program execution. You will work closely with our Material Planner organization to ensure the review of purchase requisitions and actively manage the procurement process from order placement to receipt of products and payment of invoices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement material strategies to meet program objectives
- Identify and mitigate program risks and opportunities
- Manage program material budget objectives
- Work closely with Material Planner organization to review purchase requisitions and manage procurement process
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Management and program team to develop and implement procurement strategies
- Facilitate supplier negotiations and discussions to resolution
- Articulate and drive execution of vision and goals for corporate supply chain team
- Risk Management including creating mitigation plans in coordination with PMO and project team
Requirements:
- BA degree and 8+ years in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field
- MBA or MS and 6+ years of related experience
- Strong knowledge of Supply Chain and related systems along with material procurement
- Requires strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities to understand and facilitate complex supply chain decision making
- Strong project management skills
- Proven ability to be a self-starter and quick learner, capable of supporting efforts to achieve goals
- Excellent written and oral communications skills at all levels both internally and externally with customers and suppliers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced situation with continuous innovation and flexibility in an on-site manufacturing environment
- Excellent risk management methodologies
- Must be able to collaborate and effectively influence across multiple functions to achieve supply chain performance requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Deltek Costpoint experience
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs
- Subcontracts/Procurement Experience
- Supplier relationship management experience
- PowerBI experience
- Previous mechanical or electronic manufacturing environment experience a plus
Pay Range: $87,450.00 - $157,450.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
