As a Registered Nurse (RN) Resident, you will engage in a comprehensive residency program tailored to your individual learning needs and pace. This year-long program allows you to provide direct nursing care while being mentored by an experienced coach. Position Details: This role involves variable shifts, including nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in a residency curriculum tailored to your learning objectives.
  • Provide direct nursing care under established protocols, alongside a mentor.
  • Prioritize patient care activities based on acuity, preferences, and available resources.
  • Initiate and maintain interventions to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Respond to health risks and take appropriate actions to mitigate them.
  • Seek guidance when necessary to ensure safe and independent practice.
  • Adhere to hospital and departmental policies.
  • Utilize effective communication strategies to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Document patient care in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • BSN is preferred.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire.
  • Advanced certifications may be required based on specific clinical areas.

Work Experience:

  • New graduates or RNs with less than one year of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform a full range of motion, including lifting and handling patients.
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must have corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges.
  • Ability to work under stress and during irregular hours.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids may occur.
