Position Overview: Project Manager - Electrical Construction
The role involves overseeing and managing various aspects of electrical construction projects. This includes leading a team of Foremen, Team Leaders, and Field Personnel to ensure compliance with safety standards and efficient operations at job sites. Responsibilities also include conducting training sessions to foster a culture of safety and adherence to regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily leadership and management of jobsite teams, ensuring effective communication of project expectations.
- Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and billing processes, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
- Oversee all project documentation including Submittals, RFIs, Change Orders, and Closeouts.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor operations and ensure safety compliance.
- Enhance productivity by coordinating manpower needs with the Director of Operations.
- Act as the primary liaison between the company, general contractors, and subcontractors to facilitate project success.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and vendors to achieve project objectives.
- Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment.
- Work closely with the accounting department to provide accurate financial reporting for job costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or 5-10 years of relevant industry experience.
- PMP certification is advantageous.
- Experience with BIM and estimating is preferred.
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs) and Trimble software is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and NFPA70E standards.
- Proficient in contract analysis and blueprint interpretation.
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 and project management software.
- Ability to operate company vehicles with both manual and automatic transmissions.
- Commitment to safety and compliance in all job functions.
Working Conditions:
- Jobsite visits may require lifting and moving items weighing 50 pounds or more.
- Able to work a standard 40-hour week.
Special Requirements:
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
- Willingness to travel as required for job assignments.
- Must pass background checks and drug screenings as mandated.
- Adherence to all company policies and commitment to ethical standards is essential.
