Job Title: Duct Insulator

PeopleReady Skilled Trades is seeking a skilled duct insulator for commercial projects in Jacksonville, FL.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Installs insulation on steam, hot water, chill water, refrigeration lines, piping, and fittings, and air conditioning ducts.
  • Measures, computes, and determines the correct type of insulation needed for jobs.
  • Provides orders for materials required.
  • Applies sealants, caulking, and other protective coatings.
  • Works from ladders and scaffolds.
  • Skill in the use of standard tools and equipment of the insulating trade.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 2 years of insulation experience.
  • Layout common patterns (Tee, Endcap, Bevel, Unequal Tee).
  • Know correct materials and sizes for each application.
  • Apply jacketing on straight lines and fittings.
  • Capable of installing insulation correctly.
  • Must have tools of the trade, PPE, and reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to work at least 40 hours per week.
