Job Overview

The Building People, LLC is seeking a dedicated On-Site Engineer to deliver comprehensive technical engineering and architectural assistance along with complete project management for a diverse range of initiatives. This role encompasses everything from the initial planning phase to the development of detailed, biddable engineering designs and construction documentation, ensuring readiness for contract procurement. The engineer will also provide ongoing technical administrative support throughout the project's lifecycle until its successful completion and closeout.

Occasional travel may be necessary.

  • Laboratory Upgrades
  • Covered Parking Solutions
  • Campus Utility Metering Systems
  • Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Projects
Essential Qualifications
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of relevant technical experience in managing and developing facility/site designs across various disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, civil, and structural/architectural, for both new constructions and renovations.
  • Experience in conducting technical site evaluations and offering engineering recommendations for design and construction solutions.
  • Ability to create biddable Statements of Work (SOWs).
  • Experience in developing Independent Government Estimates (IGE).
  • Providing technical support during the bidding phase of projects.
  • Reviewing project submissions to ensure compliance with applicable requirements, specifications, and technical standards.
  • Preferred experience includes work on agricultural research facilities and laboratories.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with government acquisition processes and requirements is advantageous.
Educational Requirements
  • A degree from an ABET accredited engineering program is required.
