  • Collaborate with the Resident Care Director and Wellness Nurse to receive updates on medication protocols.
  • Utilize the medication administration record to ensure compliance with the Six Rights of Medication Pass.
  • Document medication administration accurately, including any refusals or missed doses.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding resident information and address any concerns promptly.
  • Conduct assessments to determine the need for as-needed medications and report findings to supervisors.
  • Ensure the safe handling and counting of narcotics in collaboration with other care managers.

Promoting Independence: Support residents in maintaining their independence while ensuring their dignity and safety, adhering to the Sunrise Principles of Service.

Effective Communication: Notify the Resident Care Director of any resident or family concerns, and participate in the development and updates of Individualized Service Plans.

Safety and Compliance: Work alongside the community team to uphold compliance with health and safety regulations, including OSHA standards.

Implement safety procedures consistently, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and proper handling of hazardous materials.

Report any accidents or unsafe conditions immediately to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.

Team Collaboration: Commit to the mission of serving residents through adherence to the Principles of Service.

Engage in team member training and development to maintain compliance with state and Sunrise standards.

Qualifications: Previous experience in senior care is preferred, along with a genuine desire to support and care for seniors. The ability to remain calm and make informed decisions in challenging situations is essential.
