Job Description

At ELLKAY, LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to lead the development of our Commonwell Technical Service Platform. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the ideation, elaboration, and realization of products and solutions that support data exchange for healthcare providers across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Platform Leadership: Lead the approach and development plans of the Commonwell Platform, bridging the strategic and tactical needs of the project.
  • Industry Expertise: Stay abreast of industry developments, thinking about interoperability for current and future CommonWell members.
  • Committee Participation: Actively participate in committees such as TEFCA and Commonwell.
  • Platform Planning: Maintain platform plans and key initiatives.
  • Requirements Translation: Translate network policy, procedures, and specifications into product requirements with clear criteria to enable development.
  • Prioritization: Determine priorities and maintain a clear product roadmap.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with others to research and break down requirements and outline execution plans.
  • Development Coordination: Align and coordinate multiple development teams and Program Management to ensure organized and coordinated development efforts.
  • Documentation: Help develop product documentation, such as admin and user guides, and training materials.
  • Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in operational and partner readiness.
  • Troubleshooting: Support with troubleshooting.
  • Innovation: Define innovations and new opportunities for the platform.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data and KPIs to inform future product development.
Qualifications
  • Healthcare IT Knowledge: Knowledge of healthcare IT (HIT) market, cases, and structures.
  • HIT Exchange Frameworks: Understanding of HIT exchange frameworks, networks, and their components.
  • EMPI and RLS Experience: Experience with EMPI and RLS.
  • Software Product Development: Experience with creating software products.
  • Product Strategy: Experience with designing product strategy and proposals to support ideas.
  • Requirements Writing: Experience writing requirements and directing the creation of product documentation.
  • People Management: People management skills.
  • Complex Information Analysis: Ability to quickly assimilate large amounts of complex technical information and turn them into opportunities.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail.
  • Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving and creative skills; exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • Communication: Good interpersonal and teamworking skills; display the ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and across geographies.
  • Presentation: Strong presentation skills.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, delegating as needed.
  • Integrity: High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Software Development Methodology: Experience with software development methodology.
