Skyworks is seeking a skilled Senior Test Engineer to join our Woburn Test Engineering Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting engineering activities such as test, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Supports engineering activities such as test, check-out, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems.
- Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to perform testing, checkout, and trouble-shooting functions.
- Uses manufacturing diagnostic equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and specialized test equipment.
- ATE fixture assembly, validation, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Assists Test Engineers with fixture assembly, BOMs, documentation, and shipping.
- Associate degree or equivalent years of experience.
- Minimum of four years of directly relevant experience.
- Proficiency in surface mount soldering.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and adherence to best electrical practices.
- Experience with hot air rework techniques.
- Ability to interpret assembly drawings and electrical schematics accurately.
- Excellent manual dexterity for microscopic work.
- Strong organizational skills, with a focus on attention to detail and process adherence.
- Understanding of laboratory standards and adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.
- Experience operating Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and handlers for semiconductor testing.
- Knowledge of ATE fixture assembly.
- Experience managing lab protocols, including scheduling calibration of engineering lab/test floor equipment and accessories.
- Capability to perform testing and troubleshooting at the board and component level.
