Medical Nurse Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical department at Uvalde Memorial Hospital. As a Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical, you will provide high-quality patient care while adhering to the highest standards of safety and nursing practice.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients recovering from surgery, managing chronic conditions, or dealing with acute illnesses.
- Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
- Current Texas RN licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Prior nursing experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
