Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the instructional leader for your designated area, ensuring adherence to educational policies and standards aligned with state frameworks and regulations.
  • Provide comprehensive support and guidance to educators in curriculum development, instructional strategies, and classroom management.
  • Oversee academic assessment processes to evaluate student progress and achievement levels.
  • Facilitate training for educational teams on utilizing student data for informed instructional decisions.
  • Manage the implementation of intervention strategies focusing on essential skills in reading, writing, spelling, and mathematics for students requiring additional support.
  • Research and recommend effective curricula for classroom use.
  • Ensure quality assurance through regular evaluations of instructional practices and student outcomes.
  • Assess the professional development needs of instructional staff and create tailored training plans.
  • Support the IEP process by providing training and resources to education coordinators and teachers.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents, caregivers, and district personnel.
  • Participate in required meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in special education or a related field.
  • Possession of a valid special education preliminary credential or the ability to obtain one.
  • A valid state driver's license is necessary for travel.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a special education setting.
  • Experience in educational leadership or supervisory roles.
  • Background in curriculum development and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant technology and software applications.
