Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer for Battery Manufacturing Facilities

As a Mechanical Design Engineer at VDart, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of sustainable energy solutions. Your expertise in designing innovative mechanical systems for cutting-edge battery manufacturing facilities will directly impact the development of state-of-the-art facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for battery manufacturing facilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project coordination and collaboration.
  • Utilize your extensive design experience to develop detailed and accurate system designs, ensuring adherence to design standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Integrate sustainable design principles and energy-efficient practices into your work, reducing the environmental impact of our facilities and promoting sustainable manufacturing practices.
  • Collaborate effectively with electrical, process, and controls engineers to deliver high-quality and integrated mechanical systems.
  • Participate in project meetings, presentations, and progress reports, effectively reporting issues and providing recommendations.
Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design related to industrial facilities utility systems.
  • Large-scale manufacturing facility experience, including new or retrofit factories for high-volume and high-tech manufacturing processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment, including process distribution piping, air compressors and dryers, vacuum systems, pumps, heat exchangers, pure water, process chilled and hot water, and nitrogen generation.
  • Working knowledge of applicable design guides and standards related to utility systems.
  • Experience in system modeling using Pipe Flo or other simulation software.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an aptitude for learning quickly.
