We offer a competitive salary for this contractor-based position, estimated to be around $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.


Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Recreation Therapist to join our team and provide one-on-one therapy to clients in the Houston and surrounding metro areas. As a Recreation Therapist, you will be responsible for providing therapeutic recreational activities to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)
  • Current or willingness to obtain Professional liability insurance
  • Current CPR certification through American Heart Association, Red Cross, or willingness to obtain CPR certification
  • Reliable transportation required for traveling to clients' homes
  • Knowledge of therapeutic recreation principles and techniques
  • Familiarity with behavioral therapy approaches
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of different client populations
  • Effective communication skills for working with patients, families, and caregivers
  • Competency in administering evaluation, assessment, care planning, and treatment in accordance with the standards of practice
