Job Title: Occupational Therapist Specialist for Daily Living Support

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused PRN Occupational Therapist to develop, recover or maintain the daily living and work skills of individuals with physical, mental, or developmental conditions. You will provide effective and client-centered services that empower people to carry out everyday tasks or activities confidently and independently.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a holistic perspective and be able to adapt the environment to fit the person's needs. This includes assessing clients' homes and other environments to advise on necessary alterations. You will also recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use, guiding and educating family members and caregivers as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support clients in addressing their performance aspects to engage in occupations that impact health, well-being, and life quality.
  • Select and adapt occupational therapy treatment models, methods, and approaches to direct interventions.
  • Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL).
  • Teach clients new ways to approach tasks and educate them on breaking down activities into achievable components.
  • Assess clients' home environments and advise on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use.
  • Guide and educate family members and caregivers.
  • Observe, note, and report progress towards long- and short-term treatment goals.
Requirements:
  • Proven working experience as an occupational therapist.
  • Excellent knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices.
  • Hands-on experience with computer programs and creative media.
  • Familiarity with ADLs evaluation tools, such as the Katz ADL scale and Lawton IADL scale.
  • Ability to manage patients with different personalities.
  • Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and a drive to continually learn and grow in the profession.
  • Professional behavior and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Valid license to practice occupational therapy.
  • BS degree or greater in occupational therapy.
Compensation:

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Resilient Healthcare offers a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement planning, and paid time off.
