Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain prescribed standards of cleanliness for assigned areas, following prescribed procedures and posted work schedules
  • Clean and sanitize resident rooms, day rooms, offices, nursing stations, restrooms, and isolation rooms
  • Transport and empty trash and sharp object receptacles
  • Operate electric washing, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and polishing equipment to maintain floor surfaces
  • Perform other duties as required, such as cleaning light fixtures, wall vents, and moving furniture
Requirements
  • Prior experience as a building service worker or environmental aide is a plus
  • Previous work in a healthcare facility is preferred
  • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Is cooperative and helpful; respects others; is friendly, courteous, and well-mannered
  • Flexible schedule and available to work rotating weekends
