Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Installation and Service Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing retail products and equipment at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and service retail products and equipment at customer sites, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance on retail products and equipment, utilizing technical knowledge and skills to resolve issues.
  • Keep accurate records of service calls, including products serviced, work performed, hours, and parts utilized.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure a first-time fix, ordering parts as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Provide training and support to customers on the use of their equipment, ensuring they are able to operate it effectively.
  • Communicate with management to report customer satisfaction, potential sales opportunities, and recurring problems.
  • Perform other tasks as required to support the team and achieve business objectives.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Electronics and/or Networking, or equivalent experience required.
  • General knowledge of electronics and strong understanding of Networking fundamentals.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work independently.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and basic PC skills.
  • Highly organized, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to obtain or have State License as required (State Dependent).
  • Must have a mechanical aptitude and be able to use hand and power tools.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to complete all required EAS and Video trainings and certifications.
  • Ability to travel and work overtime as needed.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints and Scope documents.
  • Ability to mentor and train others.
  • Ability to perform service on more complete integrated solutions.
Preferred Skills
  • Networking Certification.
  • 3 years or more work experience installing or servicing IP cameras and DVR/NVR systems.
  • Highly adaptive to industry changes and strong work ethic.
