Job Title: Assistant Manager, Corporate Communications

Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager, Corporate Communications plays a crucial role in developing and executing Honda Aircraft Company's worldwide media and communication plans and strategies. This position is responsible for creating and executing strategies to promote HondaJet and Honda Aircraft Company brand globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute comprehensive media and communication plans to promote HondaJet and Honda Aircraft Company brand worldwide.
  • Support regional consumer research to understand customer decision trends and identify opportunities for marketing and communications insights.
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with media around the globe.
  • Supervise the creation of press releases and other media collateral in English and Japanese.
  • Plan and prepare press events, both nationally and internationally.
  • Oversee social media activities and internal communications.
  • Track media coverage across digital, print, and social media platforms and create strategies to optimize coverage.
  • Continuously gather PR and social media metrics and create strategies to improve performance.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with other Honda entities to strengthen the Honda brand.
  • Support the management of resources and events within the division.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Linguistics, or Analytics.
  • Exceptional writing skills in English and Japanese, with the ability to create official documents.
  • Fluent communication skills in English and Japanese.
  • Understanding of social media and public relations analytics tools.
  • Able to meet deadlines, be results-oriented, and succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Open and effective communicator with a professional demeanor and excellent administrative skills.
  • Management skills with a deep caring and motivating approach for team members.
  • Curious, eager to learn, and open to trying new things.
  • Reliable, highly organized, and able to handle high levels of confidentiality.
  • Able to work nights and weekends as required.

Physical Requirements:

  • May be exposed to equipment operational noise, heat, cold, dust, and/or aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel odors.
  • May be required to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for prolonged periods with no restrictions.
  • Must work in a safe and professional manner while adhering to all regulatory requirements.
  • Must be able to read, hear, speak, and see with no restrictions.
  • Must comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.
  • Must effectively communicate in Business English language.
  • Must be able to pull, push, carry, lift, or move items up to 10 lbs. without assistance.
  • Must be able to pull, push, carry, lift, or move materials, people, items, or equipment weighing up to 50lbs or more with the use of Company-provided reach assistance technology or movement assist technology.
