About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Crisis Intervention Specialist to join our team at Newport Mental Health. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will play a critical role in providing crisis stabilization services to individuals in need.

This position requires a Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. If you have experience working with trauma-informed care and are passionate about helping others, we encourage you to apply.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of crisis intervention principles and be able to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. You will also have excellent time management and organizational skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide initial diagnostic and psychosocial assessments and administer outcome measurement and risk assessment tools.
  • Responsible for some administrative tasks including requesting insurance authorizations.
  • Provide group, individual brief treatment, youth and family therapy as needed.
  • Work side by side with service recipients to create person-centered treatment/recovery plans.
  • Provide clinical consultation and guidance to Bachelor level case management staff as needed.
  • Complete all agency documentation in a timely manner utilizing a collaborative documentation approach.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or related degree.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
