Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Northern Light Health. As a key member of our Medical Imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures and ensuring the highest level of patient safety and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional patient care and safety protocols during imaging procedures.
  • Correlate clinical history with test results and determine the most suitable anatomical posture and positions for patients.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring safe handling and minimizing hazards.
  • Instruct and prepare patients for mammography examinations, accurately completing patient assessment forms.
  • Assess patient pain and make appropriate physician contact for intervention.
  • Perform special radiographic examinations, including needle localizations, magnification views, and post-surgical examinations.
  • Process exams, loading patient demographics, imaging, processing images, and transferring them to PACS.
  • Adhere to prescribed standards for Radiation Safety and work collaboratively with patients, staff, surgeons, and radiologists to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Transport patients, specimens, and instruments, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Ensure timely completion of result letters and maintain accurate records and reports.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Additional Mammography certification is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
