We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist I, Correctional Facility to join our team at the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. As a Physical Therapist I, Correctional Facility, you will be responsible for administering physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatment to patients in a correctional facility.
Key Responsibilities- Administer physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatment to patients in a correctional facility.
- Work under the clinical direction of the Chief Medical Executive and the direct administrative supervision of the Chief Support Executive or Correctional Health Services Administrator I/II, Correctional Facility.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the need for physical therapy services.
- Provide education and training to patients and their families on physical therapy techniques and exercises.
- Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of physical therapy in California as determined by the California Medical Board.
- Current/valid license as a Physical Therapist in California.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Travel may be required. The monthly salary range for this position is $4, $6,419.20.
