The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist I to join our team at Avenal State Prison. As a Physical Therapist I, you will be responsible for administering physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatment to patients in a correctional facility.
Key Responsibilities- Administer physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatment to patients in a correctional facility.
- Work under the clinical direction of the Chief Medical Executive and the direct administrative supervision of the Chief Support Executive or Correctional Health Services Administrator I/II, Correctional Facility.
- Collaborate with healthcare partners and communities to provide the highest level of health care possible to a diverse correctional population.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships within the department, other governmental agencies, healthcare partners, and communities.
- Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of physical therapy in California as determined by the California Medical Board.
- Current/valid license as a Physical Therapist in California.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
