Executive Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at Compass Group, North America. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our clients.

• Cooking and Food Preparation: Prepare and cook food following approved recipes and production standards, ensuring all deadlines are met based on production orders.
• Supervision and Leadership: Supervise hourly food service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action as needed.
• Food Safety and Sanitation: Store food in designated areas following all corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures, ensuring proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures.
• Customer Service: Interact with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner, relaying relevant information directly to the supervisor.
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory and deliveries of product and supplies, tracking product production, consumption, and waste, and informing the supervisor when supplies or product are low.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Previous Culinary Experience: Previous experience in a culinary role, preferably in a high-volume food service environment.
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team of food service associates.
• Food Safety and Sanitation Knowledge: Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, including proper food handling, storage, and disposal.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers, staff, and management in a professional and courteous manner.
