Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Worthington Steel Co. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical repair and the ability to troubleshoot complex problems efficiently and safely.

This role will be responsible for performing preventative and mechanical maintenance on all machinery, as well as completing welding and fabrication tasks with minimal supervision.

The successful candidate will have advanced knowledge of machine repair, electrical systems, and PLC programming. They will also be able to read and understand mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.

Responsibilities
  • Complete mechanical repairs and make adjustments as needed.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery as assigned.
  • Complete welding and fabrication tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Accountable for entering data into maintenance system timely and accurately.
  • Perform advanced electricity to work in maintenance field safely.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and plumbing.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley and Allen Bradley PLC.
  • Mechanical, welding, and cutting skills.
  • Ability to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints.
  • Workbench and computer skills.
  • Meter usage and ability to complete measurements.
  • 2 years of manufacturing experience.
  • May require CPR and first aid training.
  • Lockout/tagout, fall protection, PPE, confined space training.
