Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant to join our team at Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, Inc. (FREE). The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing information for various stages of general ledger input and managerial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and journal entries for reconciling items.
  • Maintain subsidiary ledgers and reconcile to general ledger, preparing entries for adjustments as needed.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of all types of journal entries, including expense allocation entries.
  • Compile data to complete various reporting requirements, including preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Review and analyze program revenue and expenses as recorded, working with other team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information.
  • Maintain network computer files for all analysis and documentation.
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed and processed in a timely manner, meeting quality and compliance thresholds.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • Experience as an accountant preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Excel (intermediate level required).
  • Strong analytical and technical accounting skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks on a timely basis in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with flexibility, keeping others informed and anticipating needs.
Work Environment

This role is performed in-person, in a standard office setting.

Physical Requirements

Employee is required to sit, walk, and stand for prolonged periods (at least 8 hours). Employee is required to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Employee is required to operate standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, fax, and filing cabinets. Employee might be required to bend, lift, and/or move light items.
