About the Organization

Creative Financial Staffing is working with a stable non-profit agency seeking a Budget Analyst to join their team.

This non-profit agency has been around for over 50 years, supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental illness, and traumatic brain injury.

The team prides themselves on fundraising events, teamwork, and collaboration.

This role will be fully on-site in Bethpage, Long Island.

Responsibilities of the Budget Analyst

The Budget Analyst will direct the compilation of data based on statistical studies.

  • Analyze past and current years to prepare budgets and justify funds requested.
  • Review operating budgets periodically to analyze trends affecting budget needs.
  • Consult with unit heads to ensure adjustments are made in accordance with program changes for long-term planning.
  • Direct the preparation of regular and special budget reports to interpret budget directives and establish policies for carrying out directives.
  • Prepare comparative analysis of operating programs by analyzing costs in relation to services performed during previous fiscal years.
  • Submit reports to senior management with recommendations for budget revisions.
Experience Preferred

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A BS in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3+ years of Budget/Financial analysis experience.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills.
  • Non-profit experience is a plus.
