About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Agile Delivery Manager to help our teams deliver amazing product capabilities. You will be experienced in agile frameworks and able to develop a high-performing, cross-functional team using a servant leadership approach. At the same time, you will be able to flex with helping your team to meet challenging deadlines, collaborating with multiple teams to manage dependencies and remove blockers. Finally, you will always be seeking out better ways of doing things, and using retrospectives to support your team to continuously improve

Our teams work using different agile frameworks, particularly Scrum or Kanban, to deliver amazing products to support members and to make healthcare affordable and accessible for everyone on the planet. This might be building products to keep our members healthy such as building our health monitoring framework, rewards program or creating an intelligent and personalised symptom checker. Our teams also create platform features like developing AI and chatbot capabilities.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Encourage, inspire and support teams to establish their ways of working, and continuously improve them by identifying and tracking metrics during different phases of the software delivery cycle
  • Facilitate workshops and ceremonies such as standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, showcases and retrospectives
  • Be a champion and adopter of the secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) and clinical safety processes to ensure we meet compliance standards and embedding those standards into the team's way of working
  • Implement best practices to support delivery (for multiple teams)
  • Assist the team in defining and achieving their goals
  • Assist the team in early and continuous delivery of valuable software
  • Actively address internal and external risks, issues and dependencies including where ownership exists outside the team
  • Work with the teams or external stakeholders to remove emergent blockers
  • Recommend better ways of working, quality improvement and eliminate bottlenecks during this process
  • Guide the teams towards self-organisation
What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with:

  • 2+ years of previous experience of working with software engineering teams delivering a global product at scale as a Scrum Master, Delivery Manager or similar
  • Knowledge and experience with setting up team frameworks and methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban and Lean
  • Working with engineering and product teams to deliver on tech and product goals
  • Strong experience of planning, estimating and forecasting
  • Understanding the value of facilitation and ability to apply techniques as appropriate
  • Able to foster more frequent collaboration and open dialogue within teams and stakeholders/customers
  • Comfortable in facilitating a team to solve technical problems and challenges them to avoid gold plating or overdesign
  • Help identify metrics of success for initiatives to visualise the impact achieved and provide input to improvement initiatives
  • Experience of highly regulated environments and/or healthcare would be ideal but not essential
