Position: Culinary Specialist

Reports To: General Manager; Kitchen Manager; Manager on Duty; Supervisor

Classification: Full Time/Hourly

Job Overview: The Culinary Specialist is tasked with the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with established recipes and production standards, while strictly following food safety, handling, and sanitation protocols. The ideal candidate will possess prior culinary experience, thrive in a fast-paced dining environment, and demonstrate the ability to follow instructions and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Responsibilities may vary by location based on specific operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

· Set up or dismantle Hot Line stations according to operational guidelines.

· Prepare food using various cooking equipment.

· Monitor food while cooking to ensure proper stirring or turning.

· Present dishes attractively in line with Brand Standards.

· Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, completing Line Checks.

· Ensure proper storage of food and other items, adhering to FIFO and Health Department Standards.

· Implement correct Food Handling techniques in compliance with Health Department regulations.

· Assess ingredient quality and communicate any concerns to Management.

· Track inventory levels and submit requests for replenishment before items run out.

· Keep work areas clean, sanitized, and free from clutter, changing sanitizer buckets as required by Health Department standards.

· Communicate effectively and respectfully with team members from other stations and assist them as needed. Report any issues to Management.

· Complete all daily side tasks and deep cleaning assignments as per the cleaning schedule.

· Follow the policies, procedures, practices, and standards outlined in the Team Member Handbook.

· Operate all equipment safely and adhere to safety practices when handling sharp tools, hot surfaces, and lifting heavy items.

· Maintain a tidy and compliant work environment in accordance with fire, health, and safety regulations, including COVID-19 protocols.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Competencies:

· Proven experience in a culinary role.

· Ability to walk or move frequently, standing for extended periods (up to 8 hours), and perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds.

· Excellent physical condition and stamina.

· Strong communication abilities.

· Valid Food Handlers Card.
