Position Overview:
This role is focused on the second shift, operating from 3pm to 11pm, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Vigilantly monitor physical security infrastructure, including surveillance systems and access controls, to identify and evaluate potential security threats.
2. Assess physical security alerts and data from multiple sources to distinguish between actual threats and false alarms.
3. Conduct thorough research and gather intelligence on potential incidents or risks, preparing detailed reports with actionable recommendations.
4. Coordinate swift responses to security incidents, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
5. Collaborate with various departments (such as IT, HR, and legal) to adopt a multidisciplinary approach to incident management.
6. Document all physical security incidents and responses meticulously for future reference and learning opportunities.
7. Regularly review and enhance physical security protocols to align with evolving threats and organizational changes.
8. Develop and implement physical security policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards.
9. Conduct routine risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities.
10. Recommend and execute appropriate mitigation strategies to minimize physical security risks.
11. Perform regular audits of physical security measures to ensure compliance with established protocols and industry standards.
12. Liaise with external security agencies and vendors to enhance security collaboration.
13. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand their security needs.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Security Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in physical security or similar roles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with advanced physical security systems and threat intelligence tools, such as Everbridge, Ontic, and Genetec.
- Certifications such as Physical Security Professional (PSP), Physical Security Certification (PSC), or Certified Protection Professional (CPP) are advantageous.
- Background in law enforcement, public safety, or military service.
- Experience in a General Security Operations Center (GSOC) setting.
- Proven ability to manage complex security incidents and investigations.
