This entry-level role involves various support tasks throughout the sales function. The primary focus is on product merchandising within high-volume retail environments, which includes stocking shelves, ensuring product freshness, setting up and maintaining displays, organizing cooler stock, and managing storage areas while transferring products from storage to the sales floor. Customer interaction and sales responsibilities are minimal and not a primary focus of this position. Additional duties may be assigned by management, such as warehouse support. The role may require working in diverse weather conditions. Physical demands include lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling cases weighing between 20-45 pounds repeatedly throughout a 10-12 hour shift. Bending, reaching, and squatting are also necessary for merchandising and displaying products. This position may be available as part-time or full-time.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Merchandise store shelves, coolers, and displays with products as directed by the supervisor.
  • Utilize point-of-purchase displays in each assigned account.
  • Maintain backroom stock in an organized and tidy manner.
  • Reset shelves, coolers, and other display areas to meet established merchandising standards and customer agreements.
  • May include D-Bay driver responsibilities, such as delivering products, serving customers, and executing promotions across multiple stores daily.
  • Operate trucks requiring a valid CDL license (e.g., performing basic driving functions).
  • Ensure all scheduled customers are serviced by the end of the shift.
  • Merchandise and rotate all accounts according to local standards (e.g., filling shelves, building displays, cleaning shelves, managing out-of-stock items).
  • Utilize pallet jacks and hand trucks to move products to and from the truck.
  • Establish positive working relationships with primary contacts at each account.
  • Adhere to operating procedures (e.g., scan-in/scan-out, following designated routes).
  • Provide excellent customer service (e.g., communication, rapport building, attentiveness to customer needs).
  • Comply with DOT regulations.
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be 18 years or older; 21 years or older if a CDL is required.
  • Access to personal transportation for multi-store locations during assigned shifts (if applicable).
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable); proof of insurance; valid CDL license (if required).
  • Pass DOT physical and DOT Road Test (if applicable).
  • Adhere to DOT regulations (if applicable).

HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience in merchandising products (e.g., stocking shelves, creating displays, managing product rotation).
  • Familiarity with operating handheld computers (e.g., data entry, transaction processing).
  • Previous work in retail or grocery settings (e.g., understanding store operations, managing inventory).
  • Experience in moving products within a store (e.g., safely stacking and transporting items).
  • Skills in managing backroom or stockroom inventory (e.g., organizing and storing products).
  • Customer service experience (e.g., addressing customer inquiries and resolving complaints).
