This entry-level role involves performing various support tasks across the sales function. The primary responsibility includes product merchandising within high-volume retail environments, which encompasses stocking shelves, ensuring product freshness, setting up and maintaining displays, organizing storage areas, and transferring products from storage to the sales floor. While there may be incidental customer interaction, this is not a primary focus of the position. Additional duties may be assigned by management, including warehouse support tasks. The role may require working in diverse weather conditions and involves physical activities such as lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling cases weighing between 20-45 pounds repeatedly throughout a 10-12 hour shift. Bending, reaching, and squatting are also necessary for merchandising and displaying products.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Merchandise store shelves, coolers, and displays with products as directed by the supervisor.
  • Utilize point-of-purchase displays in each assigned account.
  • Maintain backroom stock in an organized and tidy manner.
  • Reset shelves, coolers, and other display areas to meet established merchandising standards and customer agreements.
  • Deliver products, serve customers, and execute promotional activities across multiple stores daily.
  • Operate trucks that require a valid CDL license, including basic driving functions.
  • Ensure all scheduled customers are serviced by the end of the shift.
  • Merchandise and rotate all accounts according to local standards.
  • Utilize pallet jacks and hand trucks to move products to and from the delivery vehicle.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with primary contacts at each account.
  • Adhere to operating procedures, including scanning in/out and following designated routes.
  • Provide excellent customer service by building rapport and addressing customer needs.
  • Comply with DOT regulations.
  • Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be 18 years or older; 21 years or older if a CDL is required.
  • Access to personal transportation for multi-store locations during assigned shifts (if applicable).
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable); proof of insurance; valid CDL license (if required).
  • Pass DOT physical and DOT Road Test (if applicable).
  • Comply with DOT regulations (if applicable).

HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:
  • Experience in merchandising products, including shelf stocking and display setup.
  • Familiarity with operating handheld computers for data entry and transaction processing.
  • Background in retail or grocery store operations.
  • Experience in moving products safely within a store environment.
  • Skills in managing backroom inventory and organization.
  • Customer service experience, including handling inquiries and resolving issues.
