Job Description

The Plant Manager is a key leadership position responsible for directing and managing all plant operations, including production, warehouse, maintenance, and quality. This role requires a hands-on, self-starter with the ability to motivate and lead staff, and reach production goals while adhering to the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of plant operations to ensure cost-effective, timely, and efficient production and distribution of high-quality products.
  • Oversee plant costs, including facilities and employees, in collaboration with the headquarter office.
  • Lead a full operation management structure, including maintenance, quality assurance, warehouse, sanitation, finance, and human resources.
  • Recruit, select, orient, and train employees to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Monitor and develop process steps to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Establish production shifts and accomplish product manufacturing goals by setting priorities, monitoring progress, and revising schedules.
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Ensure the operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment, and techniques.
  • Compile and analyze production performance records and data to answer questions and respond to requests.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of control points, equipment, and resources.
  • Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending action.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in food packaging plant - mandatory.
  • 5+ years of experience managing in a USDA and/or FDA food, meat, and packaging manufacturer facility.
  • HACCP certification a plus.
  • Food safety knowledge.
  • True team player with a positive and cooperative attitude.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office.
  • Proven strong organizational skills, including the ability to multitask and work under constant deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Able to lift to 50lbs and work in high and low temperatures.
